"Unable to reproduce the issue on the reported chrome version 62.0.3202.62 and on the latest canary 64.0.3279.0 using Ubuntu 14.04, Windows 10 and Mac 10.13.1 with the below mentioned steps. 1. Opened chrome 2. Navigated to inbox.google.com 3. Composed a mail 4. Copied a URL into clipboard 5. Selected the text in e-mail 6. Pressed Ctrl+k for link selection We didn't observe any crash after performing above steps. Attaching the screen cast of the same. @Inhouse: Could some from inhouse help in triaging the issue further with the crash id's provided in comment#0 and comment#1. Thanks! "

Indeed, reproducing this might be tricky. In the e-mail I first happened to create a couple of links successfully, the problem started (consistently) towards the end of the e-mail. For obvious reasons, I'm not going to share the text of the e-mail. If I have a chance to find a minimal reproduction case, I will share it. Hopefully the crash reports can still be helpful. Looking at the crash report, there already seems to be a bug for this signature, so I'm merging into that. |
