Bold/thick font rendering

Reported by michaela...@gmail.com, Nov 27 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/62.0.3202.94 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open VS code using the Dark/Dark+ themes
2. Compare the font to the one Visual Studio renders

What is the expected behavior?
How it looks:

https://camo.githubusercontent.com/aef15a5df6fba3e71766fdd845a3582f042b6abc/687474703a2f2f692e696d6775722e636f6d2f716461734b57412e706e67

How it should look:

https://camo.githubusercontent.com/8af152afeedfece3bbf95ebafa6b7ea6fb0abdc5/687474703a2f2f692e696d6775722e636f6d2f37594f6b434b332e706e67

What went wrong?
Consolas isn't rendered correctly. It's boldened when it shouldn't be.

Did this work before? N/A
