+rsesek@ because it's a weird panic. +ccameron@ because one of the backtraces mentions IOSurface.

Seems like there could be an issue with the CPU. Both panics are related to the TLB. Is there anything we can do or ask for here?
,
Dec 1 2017
I'd recommend running a hardware diagnostic to see if it detects a CPU or bus issue: https://support.apple.com/kb/PH25696?locale=en_US
,
Dec 1 2017
oliver@ can you please do that? +Needs-Feedback to move this out of the triage queue.
,
Dec 1 2017
No issues found. Anything else I can do to help?
,

Thank you for providing more feedback. Adding requester "danakj@chromium.org" to the cc list and removing "Needs-Feedback" label. For more details visit https://www.chromium.org/issue-tracking/autotriage - Your friendly Sheriffbot

Unfortunately a positive result doesn't indicate all that much, only a negative (hardware issue detected) would. Searching for [TLB invalidation IPI timeout], most people end up going to the Genuis Bar. You could try an NVRAM and SMC reset, but I do suspect it's probably a physical problem.
,
Dec 6 2017
As per dev commnet #11, this issue doesn't seem to be software/chrome issue and it is related to physical hardware issue. @rsesek-- Could you please let us know if we can close this issue. Thanks!
,
Dec 8 2017
This also could have been a regression in macOS 10.13 - it was an extremely buggy release.
,
Dec 15 2017
I don't think there's anything we can do here without something pointing at chrome vs the hardware being problematic, sorry :( |
