ChromeOS Version 64.0.3274.0 (Official Build) canary (64-bit)
Firmware Version Google_Samus.6300.174.0
Report from a user:
"* In the TTS language picker for ChromeVox, the TTS language being used
reflects the neighboring option. It should reflect the current option. Steps to reproduce: I go into ChromeVox settings, then into the language options. I'm working from memory right now: I think the steps are CV+O, tab to TTS, press enter. The problem happens as I up/down-arrow through the list of languages. Let's say that the language I'm on is U.S. English and that
the neighboring languages are UK English, Spanish, and Polish. As I
up-arrow from U.S. English, I hear "UK English" spoken in a U.S. voice,
"Spanish" spoken in a UK voice, "Polish" spoken in a Spanish voice, and
when I down-arrow from there, I hear "Spanish" spoken in a Polish voice,
"UK English" spoken in a Spanish voice, "U.S. English" spoken in a UK
voice. If I press enter on U.S. English, the correct language is selected,
regardless of how "U.S. English" was pronounced, so the bug is minor,
but it's still worth addressing because I was nervous about choosing an
option, not knowing whether I'd get the TTS that was announced or the
one that was being used. "
I used these steps listed above to arrow up and down the ChromeVox languages list. They read languages as expected. I can't repro in Canary which means that the bug should be fixed as this build is promoted through the other channels.
Therefore, I am resolving this bug as WontFix, however, please feel free to reopen if the issue persists.
Thanks,
Laura
