What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) type in password
(2) hit enter

What is the expected result?
password dots stay visible and then logs in about a second later.

What happens instead?
password dots disappear and goes back to an empty field showing the enter password placeholder text, this stays up for a second before it finishes logging in.  For this interim period it makes me feel like I entered in the wrong password, and I've started retyping it several times.  Up until the past couple days the password dots never disappeared if it was a successful login, only if it was the wrong password.
