NTP: Thumbnails get chopped at small widths

Issue descriptionChrome Version:63.0.3239.59 (Official Build)e1443a5742ff0c6b1112c387e627d7018cdb9ecb-refs/branch-heads/3239@{#550}(32/64-bit) OS:Win(7,8,10),Mac(10.12.6,10.13.2),Linux(14.04 LTS). Steps to reproduce: 1.Launch chrome ,go to NTP and open devtools. 2.Now drag devtools window to right, scroll window using scroll bar and observe. Actual Result: Thumbnails gets chopped after resizing devtools window. Expected Result: Thumbnails should not get chopped after resizing devtools window. This is Non-regression issue seen from M-45

Unlikely to be related to devtools, probably just a narrow viewport issue.

Yup, unrelated to DevTools, this just happens with a narrow viewport. (Though without DevTools, you can only get into this state if the zoom level is > 100%.) Seems to be fixable by setting an appropriate min-width on the body.

It's not detected as a regression because it's in server-side code. I'll see about fixing it, though it's not a very big issue.

To be clear, I don't know if this is actually a regression, I was just pointing out that bisecting Chromium wouldn't find it.

The fix is live now, everything should work as expected. Note that if you're testing in an existing Chrome profile, then it might take up to another day or so until you see the fixed version (due to client-side caching). In a fresh Chrome profile, it should all work right away. |
