Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.13; rv:57.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/57.0 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. goto twitter.com 2. create new tweet 3. focus on text input field 4. switch IME to chinese(CJK) 5. type chinese 6. I want cancel current typing 7. press ESC to cancel IME typing 8. text input field lose focus 9. only wrong letters left What is the expected behavior? when I press ESC and want cancel IME typing, only IME typing canceled, not lose focus on text input field! and not left some wrong letters! What went wrong? on text input field and using CJK IME to cancel IME typing, it will lose focus on text input field! and left wrong letters! Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 62.0.3202.94 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.13 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 27.0 r0

Could you specify which Chinese IME you used for this? (e.g. OS X's system pinyin IME or any third-party one, or as you said (CJK) did you tested for all CJK IMEs?)

sorry, only test on OS X's system chinese pinyin IME, not all CJK IMEs;

I tried on my macbook pro with system pinyin IME on twitter.com, see the attached movie. Mine has touch bar and I am not sure I'm typing "ESC" correctly as the reporter says, but for my environment the problem did not reproduce.

This is weird, I've this problem on my iMac, Macbook Pro and Windows.. since Google Chrome add a feature that is press ESC will lose focus on text input field. (maybe since chrome 61?)

Then the same thing can happen on non-twitter sites (like this page itself)?

this is my fault. because your remind, I noticed maybe not a chrome's problem. I disable a extension that name is vimium and solved this problem. sorry for wasting your time, but it's work fine before Chrome 61.

Ah, okay. Thanks for the clarification. Then closing the issue. Feel free to reopen if it's reproducing without any extensions. |
