Chrome freezing with SSRS web report viewer

Reported by gokulnat...@gmail.com, Nov 20 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/62.0.3202.94 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. SSRS Reports integrated in ReportViewer
2. After loading report, click on any drop down freezes the entire chrome browser

What is the expected behavior?
It should load all drop down without freezing in the SSRS report viewer in Chrome. It still works on all other browsers. Even in chrome it works fine with older version.

What went wrong?
Chrome Browser Freezing issue with our production reports since the version upgrade. Older chrome version users are still working fine.

Did this work before? Yes 60.0.3112.113

Chrome version: 62.0.3202.94 Channel: stable
OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2)
Flash Version:

Please roll out newer version of chrome soon with fixing freezing issues. We do not have any way to identify what actually breaks or actual error with this newer chrome version - 62.0.3202.94.

gokulnathss@ - Thanks for filing the issue...!!
Could you please provide a sample test page/URL from where the SSRS web report viewer can be downloaded in order to test the issue from TE-end.
If possible please provide crash id/s if generated at chrome://crashes at the time of chrome freezing and page unresponsive error.

Thanks...!!
Hi,

Please find below test page/URL to reproduce the error:
https://energyportfoliopreprod.directenergy.com/rptViewer1.aspx

Please follow below steps to reproduce the error:
1. After the report is loaded with data, click on first 2 dropdown controls or text box controls on the report viewer, page will freeze.
2. The same page/URL would work fine on all other browser and also on older chrome browser versions.

Also I have attached the screenshot of the chrome crash IDs generated today. Not sure if it is based on this URL crashes.

Please let me know any feedback on this issues as our customers are affected.

You screenshot did now show any chart. I am attaching my screencast, please take a look and it fails with the version Version 62.0.3202.94 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I tried in the dev version - Version 64.0.3269.3 (Official Build) dev (64-bit) and it works fine there.
Can you let me know when will you release this new version?
