Fake omnibox truncates with google doodle when content suggestions are not displayed.

App Version: 64.0.3271.0 canary
iOS Version:10.3.3, 11.0.1
Device : iPads only

Steps to reproduce : 
1. Launch chrome .
2. Send the app to background and relaunch chrome. 

Observed results:
Fake omnibox truncates with google doodle.

Note : Works fine when content suggestions are enabled

Expected results:
Truncation should not be seen

Number of times you were able to reproduce: 5/5
Bug reproducible after clean install: Yes
Bug reproducible after clearing cache and cookies: Yes
Bug reproducible on Chrome Mobile on Android: NA
Bug reproducible on Dolphin/Safari/Firefox: Safari : NA
Bug reproducible on current stable build (App Version, iOS Version): No in M62
Bug reproducible on the current beta channel build (App Version, iOS Version): No in M63

ContentSuggestions is now the only NTP. This should not reproduce in M64.

This is reproducible as of M64.0.3271.0 canary.
Content Suggestions are not loaded until the app force quit atleast once or the new finch config is loaded.
So if the user installed the app fresh, then the experience is not good. This is also reproduced if you rotate the device between landscape and portrait.

I agree that if ContentSuggestions is enabled via Finch, this wouldn't have been good.
However, M64.0.3271.0 is now 5 days old as there is a problem during canary compilation.
The next version of Canary will have ContentSuggestions enabled during the first run (no need to force quit the app).

Verified in 64.0.3282.73 Beta on iPad Air(iOS 11.2 beta 3) and iPad Pro(iOS 10.3.3)

As mentioned in comment #5, now the content suggestions are enabled by default. 

Turning off auto suggestions and following steps from comment#0 will not truncate omnibox with google doodle.
