The functional error seems to be:

gn.py: Could not find gn executable at: /b/c/b/chromeos_amd64_generic_rel/src/buildtools/linux64/gn

It looks like the latest chromite roll included a change to start running `gn gen` by default; this of course doesn't work on an initial checkout. It looks like there's a --no-gngen flag, but I'm thinking that it's better to revert the roll than to try and add that, because I'm not sure what the thinking was ...
(revert in flight).
Status: Fixed (was: Assigned)
The builder is past `runhooks` now. Closing; we can talk about the right fix to re-land the chromite roll in a separate bug.
