Issue descriptionDevice name:Samsung Galaxy S8 Application version:Chrome 62.0.3202.84 Operating system:Android 7.0.0; SM-G950W Build/NRD90M URLs (if applicable): https://pledger.fig.org/ Steps to reproduce: (1) Visit the URL in Android Chrome (2) Click the hamburger menu, Chrome Bug link (3) Click "POST, please" button (4) Observe the resulting new tab (5) Close the tab (6) Use the Chrome menu to add the PWA to home screen (7) Click on the resulting home screen icon, note that the PWA is standalone (no Chrome menu or address bar) (8) Repeat steps 2-5 Expected result: In step 4, and when repeated in step 8, the new tab contains "WeGotPost=true", indicating that the form's inputs were transmitted via a correct POST. Actual result: Step 4 first time is as expected, but when repeated in step 8 displays "N/A", probably indicating that GET was used.

@kekito.fig -- Thank You for the report. Re-tested the issue on Samsung S7 (Android 6.0) and was able to see N/A when opened from the Home Screen. We are observing the same behavior from M42 versions also and also the same behavior is seen in Firefox also. Could you please provide us a screen cast of the issue which would help in understanding the issue much better and help us in triaging the issue further. Thanks in Advance. Note: Removing NeedsTriageFromMTV as of now as the issue is seen in older versions of Chrome and Firefox also. Thank You.

On Chrome 63.0.3239.108 Windows 64-bit, I see wegotpost when running in the browser. I see wegotpost on every browser I tried, including android Chrome *while running in the browser*. The bug is that when I add the PWA to my android home screen and run it standalone, I get N/A, not wegotpost as expected. Are you seeing different behavior in the browser or standalone?

kekito.fig@ -- Thanks for providing feedback. Even after following the steps 2-8 repeatedly for more than 4 times, I always see "WeGotPost=true" in Step#4. Attached the screenshot for reference. You can provide screencast by installing any application from Play Store like duRecorder and share screencast. Thanks.

That screenshot is not a standalone pwa. Did you add to homescreen? What does step 7 show? If it shows an address bar, then step 7 failed. Thanks, Michael.

Here is a link to a recorded screencast of me adding the APledger app to homescreen, then starting it, clicking on the Chrome Bug page, and showing that clicking the button results in "N/A" not "WeGotPost". https://photos.app.goo.gl/znMgkNGo1jvd8Kko2

Tested the issue in Android and able to reproduce the issue. Similar behavior is observed since Chrome #59.0.3030.0 Steps Followed from the original comment: (1) Visit the URL in Android Chrome (2) Click the hamburger menu, Chrome Bug link (3) Click "POST, please" button (4) Observe the resulting new tab (5) Close the tab (6) Use the Chrome menu to add the PWA to home screen (7) Click on the resulting home screen icon, note that the PWA is standalone (no Chrome menu or address bar) (8) Repeat steps 2-5 (9) Observed that in the new tab opened (URL: www.hashemian.com) 'N/A' is displayed. Chrome versions tested: 59.0.3030.0, 64.0.3282.137(Stable), 66.0.3342.3(Canary) OS: Android 8.1.0 Android Devices: Pixel XL This seems to be a Non-Regression issue as same behavior is seen since M59.
