Unable to reproduce this issue on reported version 62.0.3202.94 using windows 10 with steps mentioned below. 1. Hit ctrl+shift+c -- opened devtools 2. Opened windows snippet tool, Click on New and used ctrl+mouse click to select part of page. 3. Released ctrl+mouse click and observed only selected part of screen. @Reporter: Could you please check the steps and let us know if we miss anything. And also could you please let us know which tool you used to test this[chrome devtools snipping tool]. This would help in further triaging of this. Thanks!

I just tried and everything works fine. Maybe I'll try again later with the same conditions of yesterday (machine hours of work, busy resources, ecc)

Thanks for the report. Unfortunately I'm not able to reproduce this. - Is the web page zoomed in? - Is your OS set to use a different zoom / scale for your display? - Are you using an external monitor display?
,
Nov 17 2017
No the page was not zoomed in No OS hasn't altered zoom/scale Yes I was using an external monitor. However with the same conditions, after some hours using chrome, I could see the problem. Early in the morning everything works fine even on the external monitor

I am pretty sure this is a page-zoom-related problem - we don't take it into account when capturing a screenshot. See issue 786993.

Ehm I'm pretty sure it's not related to page zoom. However, you can close this issue. It happens only with certain amount of RAM and CPU usage of chrone. So it's not replicable. |
