Zero Suggest suggestions not displayed when switching to tab with Omnibox focused |
|||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 64.0.3260.2 OS: Linux, Windows, Chrome OS Zero Suggest requests are triggered but immediately invalidated when switching to tabs that have the Omnibox focused. That is, even if the server has zero-suggest suggestions for the user and Chrome displays these suggestions when focusing the Omnibox (either by clicking on the Omnibox or using CTRL+l), moving out of that tab and coming back will not display these suggestions, even though a network request is sent for an update for that list. Note that this works as expected on OS X versions of Chrome. To recreate the experience - use chrome://net-internals to track the outgoing requests to the complete server (i.e. URL_REQUEST to "google.*/complete/*"). - patch CL https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/773022 to add logs that can help identify requests that are being invalidated immediately after being sent.
