Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 7.0; LG-LS777 Build/NRD90U) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/62.0.3202.84 Mobile Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Install extension.
2. Click extension icon.
3. Crashes with corruption message.

What is the expected behavior?
Should not crash.

What went wrong?

The problem is not seen by all users of NiM (I am the author), however far too many.

Unable to reproduce the issue on reported version 62.0.3202.89 and latest stable 62.0.3202.94 and latest Canary 64.0.3269.3 using Windows 10 by following steps mentioned in original comment

Could you please re-try the scenario by creating a new profile or removing unwanted extensions 
Please follow below steps to create a New profile
(i)Launch chrome>>Press Alt+E>>Settings)
(ii)Under the section headed People, Click on link Manage other people>>Add person

Please verify screen-cast and provide your observation

Unable to reproduce the issue on latest chrome version# 66.0.3359.181 using windows-10 with steps mentioned in comment#0, as there is no response/Feedback from the reporter from long duration hence closing this issue and marking it as Won't fix.

@Reporter: Please feel free to raise a new issue if there are any issues with chrome.
