I just "powerwashed" the chromebook this morning, the circle goes only 1/2 around in 1 second and the machine reboots. Non standard apps that I have previously installed still exist on device. (such as the text app). I typically delete everything on the device except for 4 apps, however net-internals/modules shows about 30 android apps back from the days when I had a galaxy 4. I also found 2 experiments running on this device -- I am not sure if they should be there or not: GCM_CHANNEL ID sX:CgtHQ01fQ0hBTk5FTA== Modification Time Wednesday, December 31, 1969 at 4:00:00 PM Parent Is Folder false Type Experiments External ID 0 PRE_COMMIT_UPDATE_AVOIDANCE ID sX:ChtQUkVfQ09NTUlUX1VQREFURV9BVk9JREFOQ0U= Modification Time Wednesday, December 31, 1969 at 4:00:00 PM Parent Is Folder false Type Experiments External ID 0 (I should mention approx 20 stranger phones in total had been added to my account on samsung, with apps locked and encrypted with knox. I couldn't get it off my phone and these might be those same knox encrypted apps. The worst part is they have all downloaded to every chromebook and synched to every account I have with google) What is the expected result? A nice shiny clean device and no bad apps on it. What happens instead? I am stuck with these apps that are not legitimate. I am in the Google Advanced Protection Program but it doesn't seemed to have helped. https://landing.google.com/advancedprotection/ Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. 1. raw log 2. what I usually run on my chromebook 3. what net internals says is loaded 4. the only apps google identified 5. the only extensions google identified 6. can't select or inspect either and possibly advanced protection blocked me from viewing it as investigating some appids, indicate these are not valid versions for my chromebook. 7. shared worker I was blocked from viewing 8. 2 experiments I found running (?? I have no idea) 9. I hate this app the most, you will only find these identified in net internals. it was on my galaxy 4 and it packs images with something that executes- it reduces image size and distorts the quality and a green line goes across some pictures as I view them.. I think it's xss. hopefully google blocked it. 10. i did find somewhere a zipped file called chrome_syncable_filesystem, I think it downloaded in takeouts. and here's a couple other things the chrome book would let me download - including these just in case they are helpful to you. Thank you very much and best regards, Corina Wilson P.S. I did set these flags trying to better secure myself. Bluetooth is on by default now, and in my auditing I see that bluetooth is interacting with many of the apps on the list. So given the state of things, I am not comfortable with that and disabled a few that seemed would be helpful. disable-proximity-auth-bluetooth-low-energy-discovery --disable-offer-upload-credit-cards --disable-sync-app-list --sync-url=https://chrome-sync.sandbox.google.com/chrome-sync/alpha --enable-features=MaterialDesignBookmarks

I just received email notification about myknox being discontinued, I had read about this earlier in the year. Just to be very specific, When all of those people added their phones under 2 of my gmail accounts, they encrypted multiple versions of knox, plus various malware apps such as the selfie alarm, and every single app on my phone had total control of every setting. When the phones were added to my emails, the malware apps downloaded to my phone and since I didn't have the password, I could not remove them. I even got a new phone, and verizon promply downloaded all the malware once again. So I cannot get rid of these using anything on my chromebook... This device isn't supposed to be using android apps afaik. Also went to my knox and see that my phones has been added by someone in 2016-- the one for mrsclean isn't even a real phone model. It would be nice if samsung would let me just nuke this totally by my google email account, and not rely on me having an active phone. Knox killed my phone and I don't want to destroy another $800 device only to get blocked once again for not having the encryption knox password. 1. myknox for mrsclean. The phone is not even a valid model 2. myknox for c.w. There were 2 phones originally, The model is correct, but I don't use this phone any more.

hello, Someone is creating api projects for me too. I had deleted 3 already that I never created. 1 for me, my husband and son. I just discovered a new one created for me today. https://console.cloud.google.com/iam-admin/settings/project?project=api-project-347527373958 I just deleted it. Please help me. They deleted the contents of my one drive right before my eyes, as well as a 6 month long email thread between me, chromeos devs and the playstore. I am also enrolled in advanced protection.

I'm not sure exactly what's being discussed here, but it doesn't seem to be power-management related. Powerwashing will remove your account(s) from your Chromebook, but if you log in again, your account's apps will be synced back to the device. If you uninstall Chrome extensions, they should be removed. If you want to disable all Android apps on your Chromebook, you should be able to disable the Play Store via chrome://settings. The Chromebook Central help forum at https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/chromebook-central is probably the best place to go for additional assistance. #3: This is the Chromium OS issue tracker. Cloud API projects are unrelated.

Dear derat@chromium.org, I am the same as corinaaur.. ALL of my Chromebooks have acted as ARC enabled since July or Aug. They still act as ARC enabled despite it being totally off in settings. Except for recently, in order to possibly assist in troubleshooting, the only thing I have ever synced was bookmarks. I had such a hard time with android stagefright I always set it up as a new machine and have a CUSTOM sync password to stop apps and other various malware from auto loading on my devices. YET, all the weird malware apps from my old android phones still loads on every single account I have.... I am very familiar with powerwashing, but it seems curious why my new chromebooks complete 33 revolutions, but the older ones, less that 1/2 a revolution. That doesnt seem like a true powerwash to me... Could this be where this is coming from??

And uninstalling random chrome extensions does not remove them, as an example the text app as well as a few others always reinstall- even on a different device. Except the text app is now not just an extention but an app too. and a log I submitted had a pretty severe error (to me) where it said the text app was being stored on the hardware in an invalid location.
