Modifying TextNode.nodeValue, appending text that should appear on new line does not render

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.100 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
Create a div with constrained width
Append a text node with a trailing whitespace, that touches the end of the line
Append more text, and it does not render

What is the expected behavior?
It should render the new nodeValue

What went wrong?
It does not update the textNode's render

Able to reproduce this issue on reported version 61.0.3163.100,  latest stable 62.0.3202.94 and latest Canary 64.0.3266.0 using Windows 10, Ubuntu 14.04 and Mac 10.12.6.
The issue is seen from M-50 (50.0.2641.0). Hence considering this issue as Non-Regression and marking it as Untriaged.
