@reporter: Could you please follow the below mentioned steps to copy the URL from the Sources window and provide your observation Steps: 1) Browse any site from the chrome 2) Press F12 to open Dev tools and click on Sources tab 3) Move the mouse over the Dev tools section to see URL pop-up 4) Right click on the same section, click on copy link address from the context menu 5) Open new window, paste the copied URL and press enter Attaching screen-cast for your reference Thanks!

Thanks. I think I see what is going on. Please do F12 on this bug. Each line will show a mouseover. However only lines without triangles, no matter what direction pointed, will have a right click context menu. Careful examination shows that the mouseovers of the triangle lines are not real URLs (with "http") but instead paths like "top/...". So now the question is should users be allowed to copy those paths that are shown to them? I say yes. So there should be a right click context menu item established for them, "copy path". Otherwise the users will have to painfully type in elsewhere what is sitting on the screen right in front of their eyes. Yes maybe they can get these strings from somewhere else, but there it is, just as lengthy as the real URLs, and in exactly the same mouseover style, but with no way to copy.

I believe that this one was fixed, at least I can "Copy link address" to get url for files. Feel free to reopen this bug if it is still the problem. |
