involving external display along with Chromebook. reporter@, does it repro when Chromebook own screen while NOT connect to external monitor?

doesn't sound like a display issue, it's more like a power management decision...

The issue happens with only edp also. One more information is that this happens only when youtube video is played in loopback mode of the same video repeatedly but does not happen with one long hour video.

Please look at file:///var/log/power_manager/powerd.LATEST. It will contain the reason why the system suspended.

There are no suspends in the file that you attached, but the screen turned off twice: [0201/124235:INFO:activity_logger.cc(20)] User activity reported ... The youtube video is run for inifinte times in a loop and kept for overnight testing. I guess, a random network error after a video playback and before starting the next iteration could result in this. But there was no manual stopping of the video at all

"Video activity stopped" can also happen if the video is no longer detected because it drops below (IIRC) 15 FPS. I'd recommend using a local video for testing to rule out networking issues.

Local video playback does not have this issue. In youtube this happens only if we run the same video in loopback mode. Issue not observed with one video playing for 10hrs.
