Password generation thwarted by website password rules

Generated password does not match the site's rules for passwords and the site only tells the user *after* the password is submitted. 

Here the possibility to edit the generated password before submission does not help. The thing doable today would be to let Chrome fill in the generated (and already saved password) and edit it as needed. The disadvantage is that the filled password is no longer unmask-able, so the user does not see the actual letters in it.
