Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:56.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/56.0 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Download the test zip, unzip it, and install it in Chrome. 2. Click on the browserAction button and run each entry. 3. The page.html can redirect itself to another extension page when running "Open self-redirecting page as a main page" and "Open self-redirecting page in a tab of an extension page", but not when running "Open self-redirecting page in a tab of a non-extension page". What is the expected behavior? An extension page should be able to redirect itself to another extension page. What went wrong? An extension page in a frame whose top frame page is not an extension page cannot redirect itself to another extension page. WebStore page: Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 62.0.3202.89 Channel: n/a OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 27.0 r0 This might be related with issue 761341.

, Nov 9 2017You're trying to redirect to a page not listed in manifest.json's "web_accessible_resources", so the observed behavior is correct: that page must not be exposed to the web. The following change fixes the bug in your code: "web_accessible_resources": [ "redirected.html", "page.html", "page.js" ],
