I'm attaching the PPD in case someone can offer assistance with editing for Chrome OS compatibility.

Hi Jeremy, The reason this is failing is because the ppd you're trying to use uses HP's hpps Cups filter, which we do not currently install on ChromeOS images. My understanding is that HP is working on a substantial change to the way they provide drivers that will hopefully let us support this printer better in the future. Sorry I don't have a better more immediate answer for you.

The referenced PPD requires hpps which is not a supported filter right now. *cupsFilter: "application/vnd.cups-postscript 0 hpps"

Hi @Skau @justincarlson, I really appreciate the detailed response. I might be pressing my luck but is there a way to enable additional trays within the limitations of Chrome OS CUPS printing and their support of HP Laserjet printers like modifying a PPD or using one from another manufacturer or model? Note: I was unable to find one in the included HP printer list that showed more than one tray. Second, is there anywhere I could keep track of the HP's progress (forum, bug report, blog etc)?

Please file a separate bug and I can answer there.
