Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/62.0.3202.89 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open "Control Panel\Clock, Language, and Region\Language\Advanced settings" 2. Check the checkbox for "Don't let websites access my language list. the language of my date, time, and number formatting will be used instead." 3. Visit this URL https://www.whatismybrowser.com/detect/what-http-headers-is-my-browser-sending What is the expected behavior? Don't include the "ACCEPT_LANGUAGE" header when this setting is set. What went wrong? if you visit the URL or use other tools to see what headers is Chrome sending, you can see that it still includes the "ACCEPT_LANGUAGE" header with the list of headers of the request, all other browsers don't do that explicitly. Did this work before? No Chrome version: 62.0.3202.89 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: I was undecided for a white about if I should report this issue because I put a lot of effort in i18ning my websites by taking advantage of that header on the server. it is useful for tracking and advertising too, but you gotta respect the users' OS settings that they set. |
