Chrome browser hangs and is unoperable when kept unattended for some time

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/62.0.3202.89 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. open chrome browser open some tabs , 2. now dont use this browser for some time 3. and see you will automatically get a popup saying chrome isn't working , 4. try to close the browser it wont allow to do so , 5. try to minimize other apps wont allow to do so , 6. check running processes multiple chrome.exe running would be visible What is the expected behavior? chrome browser should not get hanged and then crashed even if its unattended for a while , also there should be only one chrome.exe process seen in running state What went wrong? chrome browser being kept unattended is hanging and crashing and multiple chrome processes are seen under running processes making it difficult to tackle the problem i.e even closing the browser becomes difficult Crashed report ID: no How much crashed? Whole browser Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 62.0.3202.89 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: This issue is coming for last 4-5 days earlier everything was working fine

Unable to reproduce this issue on Windows-10 using chrome latest stable #62.0.3202.89 by following steps mentioned in the original comment. kanchan@ The crash ID's provided in comment #2 are not really the crash ID's, could you please enable 'Automatically send usage statistics and crash reports to Google' under chrome://settings and provide the sample crash ID's from chrome://crashes. Attaching screen shot of the crash ID for reference. Thanks!

You are experiencing crashes inside a 3rd party app that you have installed on your computer. Specifically the chrome crash is inside: [Third party - vproshellext.dll] Suggest you remove/update this software that is causing Chrome to crash. |
