Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/62.0.3202.89 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open the attached page 2. Open the Chrome task manager What is the expected behavior? In the task manager there must be 0% CPU usage, while the page and the animations are active. What went wrong? On my PC the CPU usage is 17%. Switching to another tab or turning off the animation makes it 0%. Did this work before? No Does this work in other browsers? No Chrome version: 62.0.3202.89 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Also, I have a case where removing the <path>'s "d" attribute does not nullify the CPU usage.

w.filaa@ Thank you for the issue. Able to reproduce the issue on Windows 7,10, Mac OS 10.12.6 and Ubuntu 14.04 using the latest Stable 62.0.3202.89 and Canary 64.0.3262.0. On opening the given Html page and jsfiddle on Chrome, could observe that the CPU usage is increasing and it is not 0. On switching to another tab other than these two brings the CPU usage to 0. Attached is the screen cast for reference. This is a Non-Regression issue as this issue is observed from M50 chrome builds. Requesting Dev to please look into this issue. Thanks.
