Google's Advanced Protection Program devices don't work on chrome on linux

Reported by athearte...@gmail.com, Nov 7 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3112.113 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Click Sign in again to resign into my google account after turning on advanced protection program
2. type in email/password
3. As soon as I plug in either of the security keys it says "something went wrong" and asks me to try again or try with a different device

What is the expected behavior?
It should login

What went wrong?
Neither the Yubico Fido USB key, or the Feitian BLE/USB keys work. I only run linux on my laptop and desktop so I only have access to my google account on my phone right now.

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 60.0.3112.113 Channel: stable
OS Version: Arch - Kernel 4.13
Flash Version:

I tried on two different computers, both running chrome on arch linux, no luck. I can't find any error logs or anything either.
