Looks like an exception is occurring somewhere in Jni, or in the Java that it's calling, when TemplateUrlServiceAndroid::OnTemplateURLServiceChanged() calls through to TemplateUrlService.onTemplateURLServiceChanged() via jni. https://cs.chromium.org/chromium/src/chrome/browser/search_engines/template_url_service_android.cc?sq=package:chromium&l=249 It might help to see the full Android logcat (not just the tombstone) but unfortunately it's not loading for me at all right now :/ cc'ing donnd@ who I believe recently fixed an exception in a similar location in Issue 782324 - could this be related?

Sorry, I don't think Issue 782324 is related because that was an assert that fired in the Java side after a similar observer notification. This problem looks like it's happening during the Java notification, but I don't see where. The logcat doesn't load for me either.

Hm looks like the logs are no longer available because this was so long ago. Closing as WontFix since we don't have enough information without the logcat. |
