Create a new Linux builder on FYI waterfall |
||||||
Issue descriptionWe need an equivalent to "Linux Perf" builder on FYI waterfall. Doesn't seem there are any yet https://cs.chromium.org/chromium/src/testing/buildbot/chromium.fyi.json It should run heap profiling benchmarks introduced in [1] https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/725817 and we want to enable it by landing [2] https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/741961 martiniss@ any ideas how to do that?

I know how to do this. I can make the CLs to create this builder. Do you have a time bound on how long this builder will be around? Or will it move to the main waterfall at some point?

Let's put this on hold for a bit. I need to figure out the plans for the new heap profiler (erikchen@, brettw@, ajwong@ & co) and whether this is going to work for that as well. I'll ping back this bug after I meet erik.

Okay had a chat with +erikchen. There are good chances this will JustWork™ with the new heap profieler, so we should go ahead. > Or will it move to the main waterfall at some point? I think if this proves to be stable we can consider moving it to the main waterfall.

Thanks, martiniss@ for being aiming to help. Please make a "Linux Perf" builder here https://build.chromium.org/p/chromium.perf.fyi/builders which can upload benchmark results to https://chromeperf.appspot.com/report Thanks!
