The Wake Lock API has not shipped so this is just a general Blink power consumption bug.

"OS>..." components are for Chrome OS, but this is an Android bug. Is there a better Blink component to use here?

This page continuously loads new images in background. We're launching a new intervention to stop loading tasks after 5 minutes in background. Generally speaking, this is a hard problem which we're aware of. This problem does not have an easy solution (e.g. user wants a page to load when he's switched to the other tab) and we're continuing to address this issue incrementally.

We have shipped stopping loading in background after 5 minutes and this problem should go away. |
