Black path appearing over the screen

Issue description

Example URL:
Can't reproduce, random bug

Steps to reproduce the problem:
I faced the issue on Chrome browser while loading the website http://m.manoramaonline.com/

The same issue occurs on Android webview while loading https://www.linkedin.com/mwlite/hp

What is the expected behavior?

What went wrong?
This is a random issue. Blocking Black patch appears on the view as seen in the screen shots. This happens on Android webview and chrome browser on different sites.

Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes

Is it a problem with a plugin? No 

Did this work before? N/A 

Does this work in other browsers? N/A

Chrome version: 61.0.3163.98  Channel: stable
OS Version: 7.0.0

Tested the issue in Android and could not reproduce the issue.

Steps Followed:
1)
1. Launched Browser
2. Navigated to http://m.manoramaonline.com/
3. No Black screen is observed

2)
1. Enable WebView #61.0.3163.98
2. Installed Linkedin, 
3. No Black screen is observed

Chrome versions tested:
61.0.3163.98

OS
Android 7.0.0

Android Devices
7.0.0; SM-J710F Build/NRD90M

@safrancis: Please find the above observations and also try upgrading your Chrome to the latest version and check if you still face the issue, If so attach the details of your device for further triaging of the issue?

This looks a lot like a failing GPU. Pleas go to chrome://gpu and add the output to this bug report.
As I said this a random issue on Chrome, I have faced it multiple times, but unable to reproduce it. One of our app users is facing this problem consistently on Android Webview and I don't have an idea on how to debug this. That is when I noted similar issue on chrome. Attaching the GPU logs as you requested

This is almost certainly  issue 767913 . It should be fixed in Chrome 63+.
