Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_1) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/62.0.3202.75 Safari/537.36 Example URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0eeNijdv3I Steps to reproduce the problem: It only happens from time to time, so it's hard to say when it will happen. 1. Try to watch any video that works through HTML5, with hardware acceleration enabled (I've specifically seen the problem on YouTube and Facebook) 2. When the video flickers, you'll see an enlarged pause button or full screen button (or any other UI element) 3. I noticed that when you scroll the video out of view, and then come back again, it's playing normally again. What is the expected behavior? A normal video without flickering or weird enlarged misplaced UI elements. What went wrong? There was flickering or weird enlarged misplaced UI elements. Did this work before? Yes I don't remember Is it a problem with Flash or HTML5? HTML5 Does this work in other browsers? I have hardware acceleration enabled. When I disable it, the problem goes away. I'm on a MacBook Pro with a built-in NVIDIA graphics card: GeForce GT 750M. It's not the best graphics card, but it used to work just fine with online video. When I disable hardware acceleration, it all runs on CPU mode, causing my device to heat up and start up the fans for the simplest videos.. This does not happen in GPU mode. I also have a built-in Intel Iris Pro, but I have a feeling that one isn't being used at all. (and never has been) I want to stress again that I didn't always have this problem, even though I'm using the exact same setup as before. It started right after an update of Google Chrome, so it's not broken (or deteriorated) hardware. I don't remember which version it was.

Unable to reproduce this issue on MacBook Pro 10.13 (Intel HD Graphics 40000) using chrome latest stable #62.0.3202.75 by following steps mentioned in the original comment. Checked om multiple video sites still no luck in reproducing this issue. Not sure if this issue is specific to NVIDIA graphics card: GeForce GT 750M, Could some one from MTV team can look in to this issue, if this particular hardware is available? Thanks!

I am also having this issue with my MacBook Pro (Intel Iris Graphics 550 1536 MB). Using chrome version 62.0.3202.89. It only occurs intermittently on youtube with no obvious trigger.

I managed to film the problem. It was impossible to make a screen capture, because the problem goes away as soon as I try to do so. Here you can see an enlarged pause button flicker through the video. The site this particular video is playing on is youtube-playlist-randomizer.valami.info, which embeds youtube videos, but the problem happens on youtube.com itself as well.

Likely the same issue as Issue 702369 , and possibly related to Issue 773705 given that it's on 10.13 and with an NVIDIA GPU per the reporter. Maybe this has a more reliable repro?

I have experienced this for a few months now, only noticed it on YouTube, exactly as reported by the other users. Very intermittent, don't have a clear path to reproducing. While I haven't tested with a clean profile, which I understand is very important, I thought it was good to comment anyway because I have a 15" MBPr 2014, Iris Pro graphics, don't have an Nvidia GPU.
