Issue descriptionChrome Version : 62.0.3202.74 OS Version: 9901.54.0 URLs (if applicable) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=begK07gIn_M Other browsers tested: Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue: Safari 5: FAIL Firefox 4.x: FAIL IE 7/8/9: FAIL What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Have nothing else open. 2. Open something like the Notifications menu. 3. Watch the screen flash briefly and colors possibly get more saturated? What is the expected result? To not have any of that happen. What happens instead of that? What I recorded in the video for everybody to watch (linked above). Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. You got better than a screenshot. You got a video. ;) UserAgentString: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 9901.54.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/62.0.3202.74 Safari/537.36

I'm also experiencing this issue, and it is jarring. Definitely feels unpolished to see the whole screen flash white briefly, any time I open up a menu from desktop.

The device is now almost a year old and nothing has been done to either mitigate some of the effects or to actually fix this.

How is this still an issue? Why in no one even commenting about a fix? Totally unacceptable for a 1K machine.

Still an issue for me though a bit different For me the colors are perpetually off until I have seemingly enough white on the screen. Opening the Shelf Position desktop menu is the best way I can replicate the isse

I am seeing this issue too, and it is driving me nuts. The easiest way to reproduce is to open a new incognito window (which is mostly dark), and maximizing it. The color of the icons on the shelf end up all washed up. Could we get an official word from someone? Duplicating this issue to a private issue the public doesn't have access to is not great PR.

Affected system is a Pixelbook, ChromeOS 73.0.3669.0 (Official Build) dev (64-bit). No combination of compositing-related flags seem to affect the issue. |
