Git Blame view of files frequently ends in an error page

For the past few weeks when I open a file in https://cs.chromium.org and then open its "Git Blame" page (from the "View in" menu on the top right) I get a 404 error page. For all of this events, after some time (10 minutes?), I try to reload the page and then it finally works.

This happened only a handful of times but it was consistently happening every time I tried to use this specific file view. I know the same issue was seen by dewittj@.

Just now I experienced this again with file prefetch_dispatcher_impl.cc [1]. I then attempted to open every link from the "View in" menu and got errors for both "Git Blame" (404) and "Git Revision Log" (403). Reloading (many times) didn't help but both of them worked after some minutes had passed.

These 'view in' links are mangled URLs to the git server and any issue loading them is likely due to an issue with wither the URL or the Git server. Given that the URL worked after a couple of minutes, I'm assuming that is not the issue. 

Just to make sure I looked through our monitoring graphs around the time this bug was filed (or the days around it) show no spike in errors for Git blame. I see some errors in the logs, 29 git blame errors from Oct 23 to Nov 2, 28 are deadline exceeded and 1 is for a  some file issue (no any of the files you mentioned). Note that Git blame in these graphs refer to the blame layer integrated into code search (available via the menu or 'b').
