Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.100 Safari/537.36 Example URL: http://web.archive.org/web/20000229230904/http://www.gymboree.com:80/gymboree/gift_center_itempgc.icl?secid=3&subsecid=57&passitemid=10633&eflag=0&orderidentifier=ID9473878163125B150B Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open a web page that has missing images. 2. There will be no indication that there are broken image links. 3. View page source. Search for GIF (for example). 4. Source page will list the broken image links. What is the expected behavior? Normally I can open up these archived pages, spot the broken image icons, right-click over them to copy the image address. I use the image file names to record the information in a database. (In this case, the file name is the original product ITEM NUMBER.) What went wrong? I can't easily right-click to locate information needed. Instead, I will need to use a different browser to do my work, or open page source and search for GIFs. So tedious. Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? Yes Not sure. Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 61.0.3163.100 Channel: n/a OS Version: 6.3 Flash Version: This was reported on the user forum on July 31st. "I've got the same problem after updating my chrome to v60 the broken image placeholders are missing". But I don't think a bug report was made. This was a deliberate change that has since been reverted after much discussion about the correct behavior. In Chrome 63 we display the broken image icons again. Unfortunately we do not in Chrome 61 or 62. |
