Overflow menu does not open properly on Essential PH-1 phone

I unfortunately don't have an Essential PH-1 phone but this seems like a bad issue if we have overflow menu issues on certain phones. Does anyone have this phone so we can test (or know what might be going on)?

We position the popup manually because of bugs in Android's view anchored list popup window. It sounds like something is going wrong on this particular device, but without a repro I don't think we'll gain traction on a fix.

Essential PH-1 isn't listed on our test device spreadsheet. It looks like this phone was released August 2017 -- it's the Andy Rubin phone so perhaps we can find some Googler fan who bought it.

Yeah I was concerned about that. I'm mainly concerned if there are other devices where this could repro. I'll look into if there are other Googlers with the phone who might be able to test.

I just reached out to a Googler I found who has an Essential phone. So far, no repro on Chrome Dev. I asked to see if it repros on Beta just in case we may have inadvertently fixed it since branch point.

OK - he can't reproduce it on Dev or Beta. I think we're good to close out unless we hear other feedback reports.
