Regression:Long press of Backspace key is not working near password field of Sign-out screen |

Issue descriptionChrome Version:62.0.3202.82/9901.66.0 stable channel Daisy,Candy,Reks OS:Chrome OS What steps will reproduce the problem? (1)Sign into user and Signout (2)In Sign out screen, enter the password for the existing user (3)hold & long press the Backspace key and Observe (please refer video) Actual:Long press of Backspace key is not working near password field of Sign out screen Expected:Instead, it should work This is a Regression issue as same is working fine in M-59 Note: 1.Issue is not seen in Windows,Linux OS 2.Issue is also seen on Latest M-64 @wzang: Please confirm the issue

Able to reproduce the issue on latest M-66 (i.e,66.0.3352.0/10429.0.0) dev channel Daisy,Reks,Kip. Hence,Re-opening the issue for investigation. Attached the screencast for reference. Thanks..

I'm not able to reproduce. Could you verify the backspace is working for other input field, such as those in the browser? Thanks! This should be a stable blocker if it's reproducible every time, however this bug is the only report of this issue.

C #4 > Seems like Long press of Backspace key is not working for other input fields that are in browser too..Tried in Omnibox ,App launcher,chrome://settings page input fields. Not only backspace key, the long press of other keys of the keyboard also.

It seems like issue got resolved by enabling auto-repeat for keyboard-overlay from chrome://settings/keyboard-overlay. Thanks for helping!
