Call a number popup for "tel:" links appear twice

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Go to t.meet/oxx-ujtv-ean on Chrome on iPhone
2. Now tap on any number to get the popup
3. Press cancel in the dialog and observe dialog poping up again

What is the expected behavior?
Expected Result: 
Popup should appear only once.

Actual Result: 
Popup appears twice.

What went wrong?
Popup appears again after dissmissing.

Chrome version: 61.0.3163.73  Channel: n/a
OS Version: 10.1.1
Flash Version: 

Does not repro on Safari

I'm not able to reproduce on iOS 11 with the latest version of Chrome (62.x).

Can this be an OS version specific issue? Can you verify on iOS 11?

This is not reproducible on iOS11 but still reproduced in iOS10.3.3
Please take a look if this needs tobe fixed.
