Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.100 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. load a webview with any src url 2. listen for newindow event and change the src to the target url (url of the pdf) 3. chrome crashes immediately after setting the src attribute What is the expected behavior? the view is supposed to be rendered normally but it still works fine for non pdf file urls. What went wrong? the pdf file size is 85kb, which is fine for in-memory cache. the abrupt behavior is only happening for the new window event and setting the src for the new webview element. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 61.0.3163.100 Channel: n/a OS Version: OS X 10.11.6 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 27.0 r0 please provide your thoughts, thank you.

I am trying to perform chrome://crashes it doesn't have the latest crash history in it. I've been trying to figure out where the app crash logs are stored. Please advise.

Do you have "Automatically send usage statistics and crash reports to Google" enabled in the Chrome Settings under Privacy and security? Thanks.

Thanks for the report. Please attach a self-contained testcase if possible to help us debug. Also, this is a Chrome App on OS X, right? Not Android?

This is a chrome app in single kiosk mode, currently debugging it locally in chrome os to see what's happening with the memory when a webview is created dynamically and appended a source url. I will look into developing a test case to replicate the scenario but, i am sure this happens only for this URL(2 page pdf generated with data ~100kb).

As there is no response from the reporter for more than a month, marking this as Wontfix. Please feel free to raise a new bug if the issue still exists on the latest Chrome builds. Thanks... |
