Cannot authenticate to view passwords

Reported by anandvai...@gmail.com, Oct 26 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.100 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Goto Manage passwords
2. There is a list of Saved Passwords
3. There is a menu icon in right side of each password.
4. Click on Details Tab will open one pop-up
5. Clicking on eye (view password) icon which is next to
password field will open one pop-up asking to
authenticate (Google Chrome is trying to show
passwords. Type your Windows password to allow this.)
6. When I type my google account password and press Ok, It says "Logon Unsuccessful".

Note: I am using same password as I am using for my google account.

What is the expected behavior?
Expectation is When I type password and click Ok, it must show me password

What went wrong?
It is showing "Logon Unsuccessful". I am typing correct password

Did this work before? N/A

Summary: Cannot authenticate to view passwords (was: There is a problem in viewing saved passwords)
To be clear, you're saying that your "Google account" password is the same as your Windows login password, that you type when you turn on your PC?

Do you use a "Microsoft Account" to log into your Windows 10 computer?

If so, this is probably fixed in Chrome 63: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=574581#c41
