So is this a site outreach to Facebook issue or an issue in Chrome?

What scrolling mode are you using? (scrollbar, mousewheel, touch, touchpad?) Also you indicate the item is fixed position the item switches back and forth between relative and fixed position whether it is actually scrolled or not. Perhaps you are seeing that movement during that phase when its positioning is being adjusted?

If it repros in Firefox it's likely an issue on Facebook's end. I can't repro anymore - perhaps they've fixed it? billdillensrevenge@, are you still seeing the issue?

@comment 4, using a mouse wheel. I just checked in Chrome and Edge too and I'm still seeing it, it's very likely a problem with Facebooks website. I do not work for google, should someone from chromium contact Facebook about this issue so they can fix it? I'm sure they would appreciate it

Yes we have reported it to facebook. This is definitely an issue of their site and is a side effect of compositor scrolling. flackr@ put together an sticky position example that should avoid the jitter. See http://jsbin.com/goxibik/edit?html,css,js,output
