Add UMA for UIResource creation/deletion on Mac. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionFollow-up from: https://groups.google.com/a/google.com/d/msg/chrome-paint/GsDaAobDhso/jFzF2nNNBgAJ Consider adding UMA to track UIResource creation/deletion on Mac as it is done synchronously as part of tree activation and may have caused regressions in Scheduling.Renderer.ActiveDuration2.

Scheduling.Renderer.ActiveDuration2 does not exist in the histograms.xml anymore. (Odd, at least it should be marked as "obsolete"). I'm not sure the current status of this issue so assign to vmiura@ to decide whether we should close it or not.

macOS plans to stop using UIResource once its stops using Cocoa to draw its scrollbars. I've promised to do this ASAP (which means ~6 months from now). If anyone wants to steal that work from me before I get to it, many people would be appreciative! Duping to the stop-using-cocoa bug (though a separate bug for scrollbars would be good to have, if one doesn't exist yet). |
