This is also an issue in Chromium OS on Chromebooks. It makes online learning a challenge for foreign language classes. You can disable the automatic offerings to translate an entire page, but the right-click "Translate to English" option persists. Please let me know if I should submit this separately.

I am also hoping for this feature... It would make my day to be able to turn translate off in certain situations.

See https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=711217#c44 and other comments that follow it. Chrome Policy List for the translate should be able to disable it correctly. https://www.chromium.org/administrators/policy-list-3#TranslateEnabled

I would like to see a way through Google Admin Console to set a default language and not have users be able to change it on their individual chromebooks/Google Chrome browser.

Please ask the support desk of the Admin Console. |
