Thanks!
This is also an issue in Chromium OS on Chromebooks. It makes online learning a challenge for foreign language classes. You can disable the automatic offerings to translate an entire page, but the right-click "Translate to English" option persists. Please let me know if I should submit this separately.

What is the status on this, we have exams this week we are a chromebook district.
I am also hoping for this feature... It would make my day to be able to turn translate off in certain situations.

Chrome Policy List for the translate should be able to disable it correctly.

I would like to see a way through Google Admin Console to set a default language and not have users be able to change it on their individual chromebooks/Google Chrome browser.
Please ask the support desk of the Admin Console.
