+boliu for a quick glance, but this has the smell of a framework change messing with how we launch processes: That looks like a different bug or at least the stack seems different: 11-07 08:29:44.641 10122 8786 8842 E AndroidRuntime: FATAL EXCEPTION: Chrome_ProcessLauncherThread 11-07 08:29:44.641 10122 8786 8842 E AndroidRuntime: Process: com.android.chrome, PID: 8786 11-07 08:29:44.641 10122 8786 8842 E AndroidRuntime: java.lang.RuntimeException: Illegal meta data value: the child service doesn't exist 11-07 08:29:44.641 10122 8786 8842 E AndroidRuntime: at aqk.a(SourceFile:15) 11-07 08:29:44.641 10122 8786 8842 E AndroidRuntime: at org.chromium.content.browser.ChildProcessLauncherHelperImpl.a(SourceFile:52) 11-07 08:29:44.641 10122 8786 8842 E AndroidRuntime: at bKh.run(SourceFile:6) 11-07 08:29:44.641 10122 8786 8842 E AndroidRuntime: at android.os.Handler.handleCallback(Handler.java:873) 11-07 08:29:44.641 10122 8786 8842 E AndroidRuntime: at android.os.Handler.dispatchMessage(Handler.java:99) 11-07 08:29:44.641 10122 8786 8842 E AndroidRuntime: at android.os.Looper.loop(Looper.java:206) 11-07 08:29:44.641 10122 8786 8842 E AndroidRuntime: at android.os.HandlerThread.run(HandlerThread.java:65)

Your OS is breaking fundamental android APIs here. Chrome is trying to talk to its own external and exported service. There is no reason that should ever fail. |
