I spoke with a few teachers who wanted a setting in Select to Speak to automatically read the sentence you just typed in an edit field once you add punctuation; the punctuation is a signal to read that last sentence. They said that this is particularly useful for certain students who need spoken confirmation of what they just typed, but don't want to continuously have to drag a box around content. 

This should be off by default, but could be a simple checkbox in Select to Speak settings, like 'Speak last typed sentence aloud after typing punctuation" (or other similar wording). 

This could get a little bit complex, but something to explore!
