Google Chrome hangs - Not Responding

Issue description
Chrome Version : 61.0.3163.100
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested: OK
Add OK or FAIL, along with the version, after other browsers where you
have tested this issue:
Safari:
Firefox: OK 57.0b10
IE: OK 11.540.15063.0
What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Boot the machine and launch Chrome.
(2) Type the URL of any website and hit Enter
What is the expected result?
When entering any valid URL, the website should open without fail.
What happens instead?
As soon as you enter the URL and it enter, Google Chrome hangs and goes under Not Responding state. Multiple processes are spawned at this time.
The browser has to be stopped via Task Manager. The browser cannot be launched again till the machine is rebooted as there's a process (chrome.exe) always running.
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

Unable to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 61.0.3163.100 and latest chrome version 65.0.3315.3 on Windows-10 using below mentioned steps 1) Restarted the machine and Launched chrome reported version 2) Navigated to any link (ex: amazon.com) 3) Able to access the link as excepted Please update your chrome to latest stable version, you can download latest stabel from URL provided, URL:https://www.chromium.org/getting-involved/dev-channel Thanks!

Thanks for looking into this. I have not encountered this problem for a while as I am using a different machine for now. I'll continue to use my old machine starting today. If the problem persists, I'll try to provide more detailed explanation & steps along with relevant screenshots and additional logs.
