Network connection status does not display fully

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 9765.85.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.123 Safari/537.36
Platform: 9765.85.0 (Official Build) stable-channel terra

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. click user icon for settings
2. click network
3. checking "connected" character

What is the expected behavior?

What went wrong?
when the "connected" or "connecting" displayed in Chinese, it does not display fully, include the network part and VPN part, just like the green characters show in the attached file

Compare to the attached pic, normally the "connected" in Chinese should be displayed like "已连接", it seems that the font-height is too small or something wrong.
