If anything this seems like a misaligned compositor tile issue. Could you please go the DevTools, enable the "Rendering" tab under the three dot menu and "More Tools". Then enable "Layer Borders". If you could grab a screen shot of the error with that enabled it would be great. Just letting us know if the misalignment is at one of the layer boundaries would be very helpful.

Update: Saw the error again while on reddit.com and cnn.com this morning. Activated Dev Mode to enable layers. See attachments. The text was offset down the entire page. Corrected when I scrolled down. Occurred again, so took screenshot, but corrected itself when I opened the screenshot.pgn, both in the capture and in the browser. Scrolled again and took photos on iPhone. While not interacting with the browser or computer at all, the <body> tag lit up for a moment in the Dev Mode elements display, then the text corrected itself.

Thanks very much for the extra information. Not tile related, so not compositing. That suggests GPU issues.

Yeah the line being split in #4 which is the tile boundary is a single gl draw, so being cut like that seems like a problem in the driver or hardware. => marcheu for thoughts
