Issue descriptionTHIS TEMPLATE IS FOR FILING BUGS ON THE ANDROID SYSTEM WEBVIEW. GENERAL WEB BUGS SHOULD BE FILED USING A DIFFERENT TEMPLATE! Device name:G6 Android version:8.0.0 WebView version (from system settings -> Apps -> Android System WebView):61.0.3163.98 Application: WebViewSampleApp Application version: URLs (if applicable): Steps to reproduce: (1)Open app -> Enter some emojis (2)copy the entered emojis and paste them in next line (3) again copy the emojis and paste Expected result: pasted emojis should be visible in editor Actual result: pasted emojis are not visible

I can't repro this in the provided app or Gmail. Satya, could somebody in testing team confirm the issue? Thanks!

lge-systemwebview@, it works pretty reliable to me, but I never observe font getting larger with paste on my end, do you know how did that happened?

With the mentioned preconditions and attached APK, we are able to reproduce the issue(i.e. emojis are not displayed,shown blank). Coming to the font size increase, it has history..please check https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=514552

Was this working on previous versions of Chrome? When did this start? The font problem seems to have always been present. |
