Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.100 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: N/A What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? N/A Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 61.0.3163.100 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: There already is the throttling feature but sometimes it would also be useful to add some variance to the response times. This could particularly help in reproducing race condition issues.

@Reporter: Could you please mention the steps to reproduce the issue. It would be highly helpful if you provide the expected and seen behavior. Thanks!

Well, this is not really a bug, but a feature request. Currently it is possible to throttle the network to a very specific speed, but this is unrealistic. It would be helpful to have a variance parameter that adjusts by how much the speed can randomly differ from the specified average speed. Additionally, having a parameter to add random latency would probably also be helpful. As noted this can help identify and reproduce race condition issues.

We recommend using other throttling techniques if you want this functionality. Please see: https://github.com/GoogleChrome/lighthouse/blob/master/docs/throttling.md |
