FYI: The original report is from R-59, so merging IME extensions should not be related.

Unfortunately. It's by design. For saving space preload disk size. Right now we only keeps English/Chinese Pinyin/Chinese Zhuyin/Spanish/Portuguese/French/Dutch/Italy/Korean in package. And in guest mode. Extension can't download language models. So can't use Traditional Pinyin. yhanada@ Is that possible share login user's extension setting with guest?

+devlin for the extension question I don't think it's possible, but not sure.

Dear Google team, the case is we can not type pinyin in guest, however, if this issue can not be fixed, can those type method which with issue be removed in guest mode? or we are getting more and more complains and losing biz chances. Regards, West

Dear Google team, should we tell the customer it is the limitation by OS design? if so, could remove the pinyin method in guest mode? Regards, West

@4, I'm sorry for my late reply. The question is that can we share the downloaded language model between the extension in guest mode and the same extension in logged-in session. We should disable IMEs that don't have their language models in guest mode. As we state the list of IMEs in manifest.json statically, I guess it's hard to remove some IMEs only in guest mode. wuyingbing@, can you think of how to disable IMEs that don't have language models in the guest mode?

The new version support guest mode to download LM (depends on disk space). but after restart. The LM will be clear. Need to re-download once again

Thanks for your info! That's good news. Do you have any ETA for the new version? Will it be in M-64?

IMO, We should consider guest as a special user, allow the guest profile to create persistent HTML5 storage.

Hope we can't check in the code before M64 cut. It's submitting now.
