Password Manager: define manual saving for "Update password" dialog |
|||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 63.0.3239.0 OS: Mac Steps: 1. Visit a site with multiple password fields (e.g. https://goo.gl/ded656) 2. Type username or mail in form 3. Click password icon in omnibox (username can be edited) 4. Clear username/mail in form 5. Click password icon in omnibox again What is the expected result? The username should be editable in the save-password dialog. What happens instead? The username is not editable. See screencast in attachment. Could you check whether this issue also exists on Windows, Linux or CrOS? Thanks!

You trigger the "Update password" bubble in your flow which we didn't touch at all yet. Do you have a password already saved on that site? I know that it sounds silly but it's a feature request. We should discuss on a meeting how we redesign the update case as it's not straight-forward.

Got it. :) Yes, I have a saved password (without username) for this site. Yes, let's discuss in a meeting.

I'm closing this bug since it's technically working as intended. I'll create a new bug if we decide to make changes to the update password dialog. |
